Professor Lawrence Tyrone didn't have an obvious drinking problem-or an obsession with his ex-wife-until he discovered she was marrying his brother. When crashing the wedding with disastrous results leaves him unemployed and close to rock bottom, Tyrone moves to the country, buys a Harley and starts taking riding lessons from a street-smart Polish expat.

Isolated out in the country, far from his usual haunts and routines, Tyrone tries to forget his former life but his association with his secretive riding instructor leads to problems. Problems he could never have imagined even in his previous lifetime of bad habits and bad behaviour. 

And then, of course, there's his ex-wife and his brother, a double betrayal he won't forget.
