Mike Rafferty was born into a British Army family. He spent his National Service training as a Russian Military Interpreter at Cambridge University. He joined GCHQ, where his duties involved him in liaison work with collaborating agencies overseas, as well as the UK intelligence community in general.
Mike has published several books of poetry; the most recent is The Complete Wit & Whimsey: A View of Life from the Safety of the Cotswolds. He has written for the stage and is very active with productions for his local community radio station, Radio Winchcombe. This is his first novel. He lives in the Cotswolds, England, with his wife, Lesley. They have five children and nine grandchildren.
