Out of Print Press was founded in 2025 by publishing industry veteran Kwame Eff and Trent University economics and computer science student Jackson Payne. Kwame brings experience and Jackson brings an open mind and innovation, unbeholden to received wisdoms that say “that’s just the way we do things.” In 2026, Out of Print Press entered into a strategic partnership with Iguana Books, giving our authors access to Iguana’s top-tier production and distribution expertise.
Our editorial vision is to publish high-quality, new editions of books that have been placed out of print by their traditional publishers. Many good books disappear from circulation when traditional publishers go out of business or decide that reprinting is no longer profitable. We launched Out of Print Press to solve that problem and to become the home of valuable literary legacies, where good books get second lives. We believe authors deserve an affordable and professional hybrid publishing option to keep their work available when traditional publishing fails to.
